Hippo Makes Debut in "Gartner Magic Quadrant for Web Content Management 2015"

Hippo today announced its entry into Gartner’s “Magic Quadrant for Web Content Management.” Hippo CMS is the only open source Java Web Content Management (WCM) technology included in the Magic Quadrant this year. Gartner evaluates vendors based on completeness of vision and ability to execute.

“We believe that our entry as one of only two new vendors included in this year’s Magic Quadrant is another major distinction for Hippo and a strong validation of our vision and technology,” said Jeroen Verberg, CEO of Hippo. “Just as marketing automation transformed the email newsletter, Hippo is redefining the role of the Web Content Management System from a productivity tool to an ROI machine. We believe that having another open source player in the Gartner Magic Quadrant validates that agile and interoperable technologies are transforming the enterprise. We look forward to continuing to generate great momentum as we strengthen Hippo’s presence worldwide.”

According to Gartner, “Web content management remains a vibrant and growing market, fueled by the aspirations of digital strategists on the demand side and continuous innovation on the supply side. IT application leaders, marketers, digital experience specialists and merchandizers all now view WCM as mission-critical.”

Its debut in the Magic Quadrant is the latest of a series of milestones for Hippo over the last six months, including record revenue and growth in North America. Earlier this year, the company launched its Content Performance Platform with the release of Hippo CMS 10 and achieved the Select tier level in the EMC Technology Connect track.
