Hippo is Europe's leading Enterprise Open Source Content Management System. The funding blocks of Hippo CMS are Open Source and Open Standards. All software of Hippo is free of any licensing costs and can be downloaded free of charge.

However, many organizations want more support and security. Therefore, Hippo has developed the unique concept of support contracts, to make Hippo CMS ready for business use. This way, organizations can profit from both worlds: the flexibility and transparency of open source software, and highly sophisticated support of a professional organization.

Since 1999 we work hard to continually improve our software and play a leading role within the open source community of the Apache Software Foundation. This way Hippo stays in control, and we can look after the interests of our clients in the community.

There are two support models available: Corporate support for middle size organizations, and Enterprise support for high availability environments. Various modules can be added to the support contract, e.g.:
