Everett Italia presented a demo of Hippo CMS for the staff of the Internet Office of the Holy See in march 2008.
Country
Italy
Challenge
It was His Holiness Benedict XVI that indirectly started the project when, at the beginning of the year, asked the “L'Osservatore Romano” team to go to the Internet as soon as possible. Since then, “L'Osservatore Romano” started defining its requirements and finding a technology and a partner for this risky mission.
Solution
It was required to build the system on top of well-established technologies, to have a scalable multilangual solution and to define an interactive process that would involve all the documentation team. These requirements turned into a CMS solution allowing to browse news, newspaper's archive and on-line subscription.
Result
Everett Italia's proposal was based on Everett group's EVOLVE methodology and some well-known technologies like as Sun Access Manager and Hippo CMS. The implementation of the “L'Osservatore Romano” website in Hippo CMS was done in 3 months by the Italian service provider Everett Italia.
