The Publishing Process
Hippo CMS supports all industry standard browsers and browser versions: Internet Explorer 5.5 (and the following versions), Mozilla (1.5 and the following versions).
Delivered with the Hippo CMS will be the user friendly XML edioter Xopus. A client does not require an installation for this editor. Also during the editing process one can choose for different editors, for example web forms, MS Word or an external XML editor. Furthermore Hippo CMS is able to work with other XML editors from external providers (Microsoft Infopath, Ektron, Xopus, XML Spy, Xmetal). In those cases the XML schemes of the CMS are usable.
A Dutch input screen is available. Moreover a spellings check is possible with MS Office or OpenOffice. The design of the input screen can be adjusted to the own style of the user.
Up to the highest level the workflow, user manage, user roles, permissions and the coupling of documents with the system are taken into account. In this manner the input screens are automatically adjusted with the role and rights of the user. These roles and rights are definable by own choice.
With the help of the asset manager of Hippo CMS one can easily manage the attachments and couple the documents in the system. In the Hippo it's easy to make links between different documents so they can be found document tree. These links are then translated by the system and shown as the correct link on the website. Internal links are checked and automatically corrected or removed. This never happens without the approval of an editor. Automatically generated is an overview of the links to documents which are removed or replaced.
Hippo CMS is completely XML based. This makes it possible to define completely free the metadata of the documents. Standard fields are the publication and due date, author, keywords and description. An integrated search engine creates the possibility of a search by content or specific meta information.
