The Xopus editor is integrated into Hippo CMS, allowing content to be added in a structured fashion and allowing all sorts of elements to be combined into complete pages. Elements can be re-used however you want. Knowledge of programming or HTML is not needed to manage or use a CMS, and you do not need to use a text processor to format all sorts of pages first. On the contrary.
The end-user environment is very user-friendly and extremely well suited for non-technical people who are primarily involved in the communicative side of a website. Ease of use and flexibility are the most important characteristics. Users who have experience with standard Windows applications will immediately recognise the similarities with Word, for example.
Text, imagery and hyperlinks can be placed directly on your website or your intranet/extranet. Change things quickly. No codes (HTML). Nothing tricky. The Xopus editor within Hippo CMS gives you complete control over the content of your site.
Because the input screens are automatically modified to the roles and authorisations of the individual users, you ensure that your staff are completely in control of their tasks. They are not bombarded with fields and functions that they do not need to do their work and they can concentrate properly on their tasks.
The sophisticated workflow functionality, allowing widely differing user roles and authorisations to be defined freely, ensures that every user is presented with a personalised 'to do' list when they log in, clearly showing which documents are waiting for them to deal with. There are also e-mail notification, version control and automatic archiving options.
Workflow, user management, authorisations and versions are taken into account, right down to the very innermost levels of the system. You can define this however you want.
Hippo CMS is so user-friendly that you do not need any technical skills to manage your application. However, there is always the option of following a more advanced System Management Workshop at Hippo.
