TUI Nederland

As the world largest touroperator, TUI Nederland is a world brand in the travel industry. TUI Nederland holds brands like Arke Reizen and Holland International and is the largest touroperator in Holland. TUI is using Hippo CMS since 2004 for the intranet and corporate website.

Project description:
Implement a new intranet and Hippo CMS. For a lot of communication within the organization email was used. TUI wanted to centralize this communication via an intranet. The intranet had to become the central source of information for daily use by all agencies.

Together with TUI, Hippo has been working on the structure of the intranet in which the users would be able to find the information without having to realize from which source the information was coming. Now the information is organized in functional groups to make it possible to navigate purely by intuition.

The new intranet makes it possible for all travel agencies to access the latest offers and news, every minute of the day.

Within a short period of time, also the content of the website will be published from this single source.

Deliverables:

Graphic design;
Functional design;
Hippo CMS;
Implementation templates and components;
Training end users, system administrators and webmasters;
Service Level Agreement for maintenance, including helpdesk.

Departments involved:
Project lead was in hand of the communication department of TUI. This department took care of the first analysis of demands and wishes of the users.
Hippo contributed to this phase by assisting the ICT department in defining the technical conditions of management of the applications.

Usage and functional use:

Intranet available on all work desks;
Daily used by 1600 employees;
400 travel agencies on 200 locations;
30 content managers of 22 departments use the CMS on a daily basis.
