Project description:
The Hippo CMS is implemented for all websites of all English VNU magazines (IT week, Accountancy Age, Financial Director, etc.) and the VNU portal (a total of 12 websites, over 1,5 million visitors and 7 million page views per month).
VNU UK wanted to use the Hippo CMS to simplify and centralize the maintenance of their content for multiple websites and media. They preferred Open Source Software and were looking for a company to support this. The CMS had to be integrated with several systems like QuarkDMS and the Autonomy search engine that classifies documents.
By now almost 600.000 documents are imported into the Hippo CMS.

Main deliverables:

Implementation of Hippo CMS;
Integration of Autonomy;
Integration of Quark DMS;
Import of existing content (260.000 documents to start with);
Service Level Agreement for maintenance and helpdesk support.

Departments involved:
The IT department of London was project lead. They took care of the information analysis and functional design. In cooperation with the editors the CMS is implemented.

Amount of units and functional use:

The CMS is used by 80 pc’s on a daily bases;
The websites have over 1,5 million visitors per month.
