GGD intranet and websites

The GGD is responsible for health support in the Dutch society. The main task is prevention and ambulant health care.
The GGD had several regional departments. Hippo is working for “GGD WestBrabant” (18 municipals) and “GGD Hart voor Brabant” (29 municipals).

Project description:
Improving internal communication, support for primary processes, and sharing knowledge and information, are the main goals to achieve for the GGD. An intranet portal based on Hippo CMS is implemented and customized to the individual user.
To communicate with government, keypersons and the general public, the GGD has two public websites for regional information.
The Hippo CMS is used for both websites and intranet. Now Hippo is also working on closed environments for the ambulant tasks of GGD.

Main deliverables:

  • Graphic design;
  • Implementation Hippo CMS;
  • Implementation templates and components;
  • Training of end users and webmasters;
  • Service Level Agreement for maintenance and helpdesk support.

Amount of units and functional use:

  • The Hippo CMS is used by several groups of editors on a daily bases;
  • The intranet is the main source of information for all employees of the GGD;
  • Both websites have a average of 5500 pageviews per day.

Periode of implementation:
November 2004 – February 2005
