The Dutch Centre for Crime Prevention & Safety (CCV)
The CCV, the Dutch centre for crime prevention and safety, stimulates and supports private and public partners in crime prevention and safety.
Goals:
The Centre has a number of goals. The public website of the CCV is one of the
ways to exchange knowledge of policy and practice, to offer good instruments,
and to work with care and professionalism.
The CCV wants to be open, thorough and clear, in the knowledge provided and the
way to communicate.
The Centre is an initiative of:
- The Ministry of Justice;
- The Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs;
- The Dutch Association of Insurers;
- The Confederation of Dutch Industry and Employers (known as VNO-NCW);
- The Association of Dutch Municipalities;
- and The Council of head commissioners (of police).
The CCV is using the Hippo CMS for maintaining the CCV website.
The website holds a large amount of files, archived by subject. Hippo provided
the editors with structure and templates, so all information is organized in the
same way for different media. The Hippo CMS is based on open standards and makes
it easy to 'cooperate' with different databases and applications used by the
CCV.
